I'm from Alabama, I live in Mississippi, yet I only scored 60% Dixie!! I guess being married to someone from Michigan for 4 years rubbed off on me!
A lot of my responses weren't listed probably because I'm in the UK and way of talking is totally different.
Somehow I managed to still get a score of 45% Dixie.
Born & bred in Bama, only time I lived anywhere else it was TN. and I still only got "60% (Dixie) Right on the Mason-Dixon Line"
Guess since my dad is from up North, I got yankee blood in me!
*We won't tell anyone*
I can't believe all of these fine Southerners only scored 60 and below! Girls, I'm gonna have to help ya'll! *L*
I'm a 46% Yankee. I was so excited to see pop listed as a choice! Everyone in Rochester says it, but I try to say it down here on LI and people look at me like I'm from freakin Mars.
And what's this about drive through liquor stores? Hmmm...
:-)
33% dixie, and it would be less if we WESTERNERS, who are a breed apart from your run-o-the-mill Yankees, hadn't adapted access road and a few other things.
Not that I dislike the south, don't get me wrong. I just like my wide open spaces, gigantic Evergreens, and my lack of an accent.
Now southern women can wisper sweet nothings in my ear all day and I am not going to complain, especially if they have a thoroughbred from Kentucky and know how to make a mess o'beans and johnnycake. Southern men I am not fond of, but that is all experience related.Give me some real southern gentlemen, a bit of bourbon, and I have a distinct feeling that my attitude will change.
And I love the idea of a drive-thru liquor store. BRILLIANT!
I'm just in shock so many people haven't heard of a party barn or brew-thru... I thought those things were everywhere! Well, until I left the South *L*
I scored 41% Yankee. Suppose I've traveled to much to be any one thing.
