It's Better...
Today, "Emma" was doing a little better. She was still restless, and anxious. I've tried re-assuring her, everything is going to be fine, but I don't know that it will be. I have a bad feeling. I don't know what's going on, and with him being a detective, anything could go wrong. How well I know. My father. I... I'm not going there. Not right now. I pray her son will stay strong. I'm sure he's a very intelligent man, and knows how to handle the situations that are presented to him, but sometimes, intelligence isn't enough.
I took "Emma" outside for a little while today. She was enjoying the sunshine and watching the birds as they flew by. I became uneasy as I saw a man who appeared to be lurking on the sidewalk. He had a camera- and I believe was taking photographs of "Emma". I took her back inside immediately. Something just wasn't right with that. We don't typically have people photographing the building, much less our patients. That began to worry me. I reported the person immediately to security. By the time they searched the parameters, he was gone. Vanished. Maybe I'm making something out of nothing, but then again, maybe not.
I'll protect her. No matter what. I don't know what's going on, but I will find out. I've asked that security let no one into her wing that isn't specifically on the pass list. This is standard procedure, but there are times that guests have been allowed to see patients without specific instructions. Not now, not until whatever her son is involved in passes.
I called Susan immediately after work. I need to get out of the house tonight. I've been through enough this week. I just want to go let off some steam, dance, maybe have a few drinks, just loosen up. Maria will be finished with rehearsal around 8:00pm, so I'm guessing we'll head out to 515. I never thought I'd become a "regular" at a bar! But sometimes, you've gotta do what you've gotta do to stay sane. "Phillip, Jack and Louis"- the three best friends a woman can have- a necessity for every night on the town.
